About
I strive to capture the emotional truth of a moment and I hope that my images resonate. Photography is great fun and it has enriched my life in unexpected and amazing ways.
I have visited Cuba five times as part of a long-term book project on the unique Cuban automotive ecosystem. My great friend and co-author Tom Gibson stated in a recent article for Crankshaft magazine that “[Havana’s] automotive panoply runs all day and night, 365 days a year, making it one of the most unusual and bizarre vintage vehicle shows on the planet.” My photography of Cuba and its people was also included in a juried show at the Anderson Arts Center in Anderson, South Carolina.
In addition, I have earned a Master of Science in Geology at Kent State, I have taught middle school science, and run 20 marathon races—including qualifying for and completing the Boston Marathon. I am husband to my wonderful wife Catherine, and proud father to two lovely and accomplished daughters Bridget, 17, and Helen, 15.
